Jean-Jacques Neuer is a lawyer based in Paris and a solicitor in London. He has a Ph.D in law and he is an international arbitrator. He also practices in the field of art law and art market.

From New York to Beijing, he defends the key players of the Art world in a market that’s become the source of many conflicts, forgeries, and other frauds.

Neuer has been the official counsel of the Picasso Administration for more than 20 years, as well as many estates, including Brancusi, Yves Klein, Arman, Tati, the Giacometti Foundation and Marcel Proust.

He is the legal counselor of renowned auction houses, art dealers, collectors and experts. Finally, he served on board of the legal Affairs Department of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the Musée Guimet of Asian Art in Paris.

“As a lawyer responsible for maintaining artists’ legacies, I believe it is important that misconceptions about the concept of originality never prevent artistic genius from being duly recognized.”
